Hey Grace, I can’t help you with this one I’m affraid, I dont know much about plants. In my opinion they are pretty boring compared to animals and humans!
These are the main parts of a plant cell if that is what you mean..?
They have:
1) a nucleus – this is like the brain of the cell
2) a cell membrane – a barrier which controls what goes in and out of the cell
3) cytoplasm – the filling of the cell which contains all the chemicals that the cell needs
Animal cells and plant cells all have those 3 things above, but plant cells also have 3 other special parts. These are:
4) vacuole – this contains sap which makes the cell firm
5) cell wall – it makes the outside of the cell stronger
and 6) chloroplasts – this is where the cell makes its food using a process called photosynthesis
Like Sam I am more interested in animal cells than plant cells though!
Thanks for your question and I hope that was what you meant?! 😀
Good question, plant cells are really interesting because they are quite different from animal cells, and behave in different ways. There are multiple different types of cells in plants, probably to many to name them all. But the main ones are:
Meristematic cells: These cells split and can turn into all the other cell types (below).
Parenchyma cells: These cells are the machines of the plant, making food and hormones for the plant.
Collenchyma cells: These cells support the plant while it is getting taller
Sclerenchyma cells: These cells are hard and protect the plant from things like animals who want to eat it
I hope this answers your question, please let us know if there is anything else!
