I would say I mostly experiment on cells that are in our nervous system. I use a type of cell called a Schwann cell which is what makes our nerves react so quickly and also helps them fix themselves. I also work on neurons, which are what conduct our thoughts and nerve impulses. The good thing about using cells is that you can do all sorts of experiments in a simple way. Looking at problems with nerves fixing themselves directly in the body can be difficult, so we can do simple models of these problems to help us understand what happens.
