      Hi Fred,

Seeing as there are about a hundred trillions of cells in a single human body, and about 7 billion people on the planet – so almost a trillion trillion cells just in humans alone! A number I can’t even imagine! That is not even counting all the other animals insects and plants, I’m not even sure how to add those into the equation. And that is just the world, I have no idea how to include the whole universe as well!

Wow! Like Michelle said I don’t think we would ever be able to guess how many cells are in the universe, I don’t think we even have numbers to describe how many there will be! Sometimes in science there are things that are just not worth trying to measure!

As far as i know the only place where cells have actually been found is on earth. These cells make up all the different kinds of animal, plants and insects in the world.

We don’t even know the total number of cells are on our planet. If we discover life on any other planets then there would be even more! So I think the number of cells in the universe is a number too big to even imagine!!

      thanks for your question!
