England is never at the bottom of the world really because we are on the top half of the globe and the globe spins left to right, not top to bottom. Sometime we are higher up because the earth is tilted a bit but you could never say we are at the bottom of the world, the south pole is always at the bottom and the north pole is always at the top.

Well it depends on where you decide the top of the world is. Early map makers decided that the north pole was the top of the world and the south the bottom, but we could just as easily have decided the south pole was on top of the maps, and then all our maps would be upsidedown. If an alien were to arrive in a space ship, because there is no gravity in space they could arrive from any angle, so from there perspective England could be on the bottom. This would never affect us as gravity works to pull us towards the centre of the world regardless of where we are.

I love thinks about questions like this! Because it makes me realise how little we really know about the planet we live on. In terms of the universe, I’m not sure which way is up, of even if there is an up!

We are in the northern hemisphere so we are always in the top half of the globe. But as callum said we might be a bit further south sometimes because the earth is tilted a bit. It is this tilting that causes us to have different seasons as different times of the year. In the summer the earth is tilting towards the sun and in the winter it is tilting away from the sun.
