      Hi,

In the womb the baby is attached to the placenta. The job of the placenta is to transfer nutrients and oxygen from the mothers blood supply into the babies blood so the baby is healthy. That is why it is important for pregnant women to eat healthily and not smoke as the nutrients in the mothers blood end up providing the baby with food to grow.

The placenta is attached to the baby by the umbilical cord. Your belly button marks the spot where your umbilical cord was attached to you when you were growing in your mums womb

      P.S i like arsenal too! 😀

Yeh like Katie said they survive by getting all the food and oxygen they need from their mother through the placenta, the mother also gets rid of the the waste that the baby produces. They are also floating in a liquid called amniotic fluid but they don’t drown in it because their lungs don’t need to breath air until they are born and start crying.
