Hey, I know I’m not Katie but hope you don’t mind me answering. My parents didn’t help me that much really because neither of them studied science so didn’t really understand what I was doing. They did help me when I was really young by taking me to the science museum and stuff which made me want to be a scientist, but once I started studying I was on my own. They helped in other ways though, like helping me pay for university.

Hi freya, thanks for your question and for some nice questions earlier!

My parents are both scientists so they inspired me to be interested in science when I was very young. Like Sam said I also went to the Science Museum when I was younger which made me want to be a scientist.

When I was older my parents sometimes helped me with my science homework. Now I work on a very specialized area of science which my parents don’t know anything about! But they are still very supportive of me 😀

It must have been very cool for you to have such an inspiration at home Katie!
