I don’t work for the CSI or FBI but I’m sure there are lots of neuroscientists who do! The FBI will be very interested in how we can look at peoples brains to see if they are telling the truth or if they have a brain which makes them more likely to be aggressive. Some scientists are trying to develop these techniques but they are not very reliable yet!

Why are you so interested in CSI and the FBI, do you want to be a detective when you are older?

I’m afraid I don’t work with CSI or FBI. This a very popular question due to the popularity of crime dramas!
I do however work next door to the forensic department in our building, and the forensic pathologist (a medically trained doctor, who tend specialised in forensic pathology) sometimes have samples they give to the biomedical scientists to carry out further tests; such a toxicology (poisons and drugs) but that’s all I can tell you really!

Hey, I don’t work for them but I would love to do a job like that (provided it was like the tv). I do work with the Army though. One part of our project is trying to get the nerves in soldiers who step on a landmine to fix themselves better. So I’m always having meetings with different Colonels and Majors to discuss the results that we’ve got.

      Hi alzbeta

I don’t work for the CSI or the FBI. It does sound really fun though!

When I was younger one of the things I wanted to do for a job was forensics. This is where you investigate crime scenes to find out who is guilty – for example analysing blood samples and fingerprints left at the scene of the crime. But then I decided it might be a bit gory for a job!

      Thanks for your question!
