      I love it. One thing that you can do with it is put a little bit in a small tube with the lid on. When the dry ice gas expands, the tube shoots off like a rocket. Once, when I was at uni we had competitions to see who could shoot it the furthest. Check out my profile to see a mistake with dry ice we had the other day.

      Dry ice is super cool!

      It is solid carbon dioxide. If you heat it up then it goes straight from being a solid to being a gas and doesn’t go through the liquid stage (this is called sublimation).

      A fun thing to do with dry ice is to put a small piece inside a balloon. The balloon will start to inflate as the solid carbon dioxide turns into gas carbon dioxide. If you put a big piece inside the balloon then the balloon will pop!
